Broward County Library (BCL) is celebrating International Women's Day and National Women's History Month in March 2021. In keeping with the 2021 International Women’s Day theme #ChoosetoChallenge, BCL is hosting a series of online programs that encourage women to challenge themselves in new and exciting ways.
This event is part of BCL’s multi-part #ChooseToChallenge female-focused educational series. In this session, you will hear from a panel of female business leaders sharing proven strategies to learn your value, earn a promotion, or take your business to the next level.

Ivelices Thomas, CEO of HR and Beyond, is an accomplished Labor & Employment Attorney, Human Resources Executive and certified Circuit Civil Court Mediator with over 15 years of combined legal and human resources expertise successfully planning and implementing strategies and programs to enhance relationships between management and employees and enhance organizational effectiveness. She has broad experience as an influencer, team-builder, project manager, and communicator, building productive working relationships/partnerships with employees, business leaders, and union leadership.
Melissa N. Goodloe, Esq. is the owner of Goodloe Law, PLLC. Melissa has been a practicing attorney since 2016 and is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of South Florida and a Juris Doctor's degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. While in law school, Melissa worked as a Certified Legal Intern (CLI) in the school's Debt Relief Clinic. As a CLI, while working under the direction of a licensed attorney, Melissa represented numerous clients facing consumer debt issues. In 2016, she started her legal career as an attorney for the Department of Children and Families (DCF) where she represented the State of Florida in juvenile dependency cases. As a DCF attorney, Melissa advocated on behalf of children whose parents were facing allegations of abuse, abandonment, and neglect.
