The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) founded in 1890 to promote historic preservation, education and patriotism.
Speaker Nancy Wyman documented many generations of her family tree before discovering she had Revolutionary War Patriot ancestors. She will present the story of her genealogical journey and how that work was enriched by her DAR membership. Of particular interest is one of her ancestors from Massachusetts – a gunsmith named Thomas Earle who built a rifle for George Washington.
Presented by Nancy Wyman, GSBC Member, Current President of Jewish Genealogy Society of Broward County, Past Regent of the Major William Lauderdale Chapter of the National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, which she joined in 2008. Nancy is a real estate agent. She especially loves helping others with their family trees.
