Tax exemption education outreach event

Broward County Property Appraisers Office staff offer in-person tax exemption information to the public.

The M.E.I.T. (Mobile Exemption & Information Team) from the Office of Marty Kiar, our Broward County Property Appraiser, has launched a county-wide effort to educate Broward residents about the many tax-saving exemptions our office provides to homeowners and to help them save money.

This effort includes members of BCPA's outreach team attending community events, festivals, speaking at homeowners associations, homebuyer’s workshops, churches, professional organizations, and more. At many of these events, BCPA provides direct support to residents by completing exemption applications on the spot, including Senior/Low-income Exemptions and Veterans Disability Exemptions. Meet with BCPA staff in-person at Southwest Regional Library to learn about tax-saving exemptions.  Offered bi-monthly throughout 2026.
