The keys to building a business such as providing quality copy, meeting deadlines and communicating with editors
The craft of freelance writing in terms of editing yourself to improve your work
Why finding a tribe of other freelance writers is crucial for success
Presenter: Zina Kumok has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Indiana University and has worked for newspapers, magazines and wire services. Ms. Kumok also developed content for newsletters, brochures and annual reports. Zina's byline has appeared in Indianapolis Monthly, the Commercial Appeal and the Associated Press. As an expert, Zina's been featured in the Washington Post, Fox Business, and Time. Ms. Kumok is a Certified Financial Health Counselor and Student Loan Counselor, and a three-time finalist for Best Personal Finance Contributor/Freelancer at the Plutus Awards. Zina currently lives in Indianapolis, IN with her husband and two dogs.
