The Stirling Road Library Tale Trail is a children’s picture book that is presented in an outdoor setting as a series of signs, each with a page from the book, spread along a path.
The Stirling Road Library Tale Trail is a fun, literacy-based installation set up on our beautiful library grounds. As you stroll the Stirling Road Library Tale Trail, you’ll stop at displays holding pages of a book, following a story from beginning to end. This is a great way for children and adults to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time.
Until the end of November, stop by to check out: We're Going on a Leaf Hunt by Steve Metzger. Join three friends on a fun leaf-finding adventure! This bouncy new version of the popular song begs to be read out loud. There are lots of beautiful fall leaves to find! Three friends have a big adventure hiking over a mountain and through a forest to collect leaves of all kinds and colors. What will they do with all their leaves at the end of the story? Jump and play in them, of course! With easy rhyming text and fun sound effects, children will delight in this rollicking autumn story.
The Stirling Road Library Tale Trail is located outdoors on the south side of the library towards the Stirling Road entrance. No appointment is necessary. Enjoy the Stirling Road Library Tale Trail on our beautiful outdoor library grounds at your leisure. Once you have visited the Tale Trail, please come to the front desk to receive your completion prize!
