Enjoy free food samples, cultural programming performances, a virtual reality exhibit, and artwork from the Caribbean. Event admittance and food samples are free. Food samples will represent cuisine from Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Trinidad-Tobago. Cultural performances will be facilitated from 1:00-2:00 pm and performed by Bandan Inc. A Salsa dance lesson will be taught by acclaimed instructor Danny Carter of Dannydancemoves. The lesson starts at 3:00 pm. The Island Space Museum will also set up a historical display of famous personalities of the Caribbean and the Main Library's Creation Station will have a virtual reality exhibits of land/sea scapes of the Caribbean.
Please register for the cultural programming, since seating is limited. Please note in case the parking lot is full (in front of the library) extra parking is available in the big lot next to the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center (LPAC). This big parking lot can be accessed from Sunrise Blvd or US 441/SR 7 entrances. Go around the traffic circle and enter the lot entrance marked with the sign stating "Lauderhill Performing Arts Center Parking."
