Explore the African American Research Library and Cultural Center’s exhibition - Symbols of Spirit: African Masks Arthur B. Steinman and Paul and Mary Rosen Collections," as we examine what United Communities mean and how we connect through our differences. The tour will be conducted by contributing curator, Ludlow Bailey
Patrons will have the opportunity to visit our featured premiere exhibition collection of West African masks. Attendees will be encouraged to consider the metaphors of masks in their own daily lives. How do roles in our respective worlds unite or polarize us as communities? What roles do we take on in our various segments of our existence? What are universal themes as we consider connection experiences? What various intersections play in examining various lines of differences?
