Connie Versteeg, Marine Biologist, will help us learn how to be kind to the many sea turtles that nest on our South Florida beaches.
Did you know that about 90% of all sea turtles nesting in the United States takes place on South Florida’s beaches? You will learn why it is critical that we do our part to ensure that sea turtles have a safe and successful nesting season, which runs from March through October. Learn more about sea turtles. Our presenter is Connie Versteeg. Connie is a Marine Biologist with the National Save the Sea Turtle Foundation located in Fort Lauderdale. The organization provides educational programs, promotes public awareness, and supports sea turtle research.
