Story RoomLearn more about the importance of pollinators. Hear a story, see a butterfly's life cycle, and create art.

Join Flamingo Gardens to learn all about the importance of pollinators.
- Listen to the story, Caterpillars and Butterflies written by Laura Deo
- Students will learn about the lifecycle of butterflies and see the different stages of the butterfly lifecycle by observing their eggs, caterpillars, chrysalis, and butterflies, and learn about the importance of pollinators.
- Students will participate in a butterfly craft/drawing exercise.
Age group: 6-11
Program time: 60 minutes
*space is limited (20) - registration required for each attendee (call library for more detail).
Established in 1927, Flamingo Gardens is one of the oldest botanical gardens and attractions in South Florida. Flamingo Gardens is the premier Everglades Learning Center and South Florida Wildlife and Botanical Sanctuary. Flamingo Gardens mission is to depict, preserve, and provide education about the natural and cultural heritage of South Florida and the Everglades in our botanical gardens and wildlife sanctuary.
