Dianne Bienes Seminar Room # 1A free hands-on community workshop in Fort Lauderdale, inviting all ages to create, reflect, and connect through art.
As part of Hued Songs’ two-year performance residency with the African American Research Library and Cultural Center, this free community workshop invites participants to engage with the themes of The Juneteenth Experience through hands-on artistic practice.
Facilitated by Hued Songs teaching artists, the workshop is participatory, intergenerational, and welcoming to attendees of all backgrounds and experience levels. Participants will create, reflect, and connect in a shared space grounded in the belief that art-making belongs to everyone.
This workshop offers a meaningful way to experience the spirit of Juneteenth through community, creativity, and conversation. Attendees will leave with a deeper connection to the themes of the series and to one another.
This event is free and open to all.
