Meeting RoomParents and children (Ages 4-11, Pre-k to 5th grade.) learn about better healthy eating habits. Each lesson also has a cooking demo where families would be involved at the end.
U of F presenter, Roni Tanenbaum is offering Nutrition workshops. Families participate in lessons about improved healthy eating habits, with each session featuring a cooking demonstration in which parents and children are encouraged to take part.
Mini Nutrition Series
4 weeks of Sessions (1 per week):
- Kitchen safety - make fruit skewers - proper kitchen safety
- Natural v. Added sugar - make infused water - Sugar content in drinks
- Snack plate - make hummus - daily intake and servings of different food groups
- Whole grains and fiber - different types of whole grains and what make a grain a whole grain
