Preschoolers enjoy a Japanese picture story. Sponsored by the Broward Public Library Foundation and the PNC Grow Up Great Foundation.
Through a Kamishibai (Japanese picture story), discover a folk tale from Japan. Afterward, have fun with a related hands-on activity!
(Kamishibai, literally “paper theater” in Japanese, is a form of storytelling that combines a set of standard-size illustrated paper cards paired with a scripted performance by a narrator).
The Oni Who Sank to the Bottom of the Sea: A good-hearted oni (oh-knee), with superhuman strength, rouses himself from his mountain retreat to save his neighbors.
