Learn how to use a circular knitting loom to knit a hat!
In this four-week class, students will learn how to use a circular knitting loom. Students will learn how to make a warm hat during class to keep for themselves or donate to a cancer patient.
This class will be structured as a 4-session workshop and students will learn how to loom knit step-by-step. Miss. Monique will demonstrate each step and then help students do each step. Loom knitting is fun and fast!
Week 1: Students will learn how to make a slip knot, load yarn on the loom, and how to do the basic stitch.
Week 2: Students will learn how to make a cuff on their hat.
Week 3: Students will learn how to finish their hat and take the stitches off the circular loom.
Week 4: Students that were not able to attend a class will have a final day to make finish up their hat.
Students must sign up for and plan to attend all 4 sessions. No new student will be admitted after the first session.
Session dates: June 17, 24, and July 1, 8
Space is limited, registration is required. For ages 12-18.
