Jelly Belly Turtles
Unearth a Story with Marine Environmental Education Center
Tuesday, June 16
10:30am - 11:30am
Century Plaza/Leon Slatin Branch
Multipurpose RoomSponsored by the Broward Public Library Foundation
Make take-home models of sea jellies (a leatherback sea turtle’s favorite snack!) and discover ways to reduce plastic trash so turtles don’t mistake them for food. Identify the different species and where jellies are found, from South Florida to the deep sea.
Space is limited to 40 school aged children, registration required for each attendee.
The NSU Marine Environmental Education Center was opened with the desire to educate and delight locals and tourists alike through our educational green sea turtles, Captain and Coral, and the splendor of the coastal environment in South Florida.

This program was sponsored by The Broward Public Library Foundation.
