Uncover the History of Hawaii with Hiiaka
in partnership with South Florida Chamber Ensemble's iLUMA

Youth Program (Room 135)Join us to hear a story from Hawaii and enjoy the music and rhythms. Ages 3 and up.
iLUMA (inter-generational Literacy Using Music and Art) is an arts integration program designed to use music, art, dance, and world culture to improve reading comprehension, listening and memory skills. Hiiaka: A story about two sisters from Hawaii who save the life of a boy. Participants make and play Hawaiian musical instruments and dance the hula. Participants sing and dance numbers from the original Scott Joplin opera.
