An award-winning program for Ages 60 and older, that emphasizes practical strategies designed to manage falls and increase activity levels.
Many older adults experience concerns about falling and, as a result, restrict their activities. This program was adapted from Boston University Royal Center by Maine's Partnership for Healthy Aging. A Matter of Balance uses practical coping strategies to reduce the fear of falling and to diminish the risk of falling, including group discussions, mutual problem solving, exercises to improve strength, coordination
