Wednesday, July 15
11:00am - 12:00pm
Northwest Regional Library
Multipurpose RoomJoin City Historian Cristina Fairhurst as she unearths the story of the City of Coral Springs from its roots as a green bean farm to the fully built-out city it is today.
Coral Springs is a young city with a big story. Founded in the early 1960s as a carefully planned community, it was designed with a forward-thinking vision that emphasized education, green spaces, and quality of life. Built from former farmland on the edge of the Everglades, Coral Springs grew through thoughtful planning, strong civic leadership, and community involvement. Today, its history reflects innovation, resilience, and a shared commitment to creating a city where people are proud to live, work, and raise their families.
