Butterfly Gardening
Presented by the Youth Environmental Alliance
During this experiential program, you will learn the importance of pollinators to our ecosystem, how insects rely on host plans as well as well as nectar source plants, and how to create needed habitat and migratory byways for pollinating birds, butterflies and bees.
Students are introduced to the concept of life cycles and the necessary components of a habitat. Live examples and hands-on activities help students collect data to create their own butterfly garden at home.
