Everglades RoomTelling the story of America through Art in celebration of our nation’s 250 Birthday
We can learn a lot about American history through art in books, in public places and museums. It is important also to look at these works in the context of who the artist was and when and why the artwork was made. Many of the iconic representations of events were produced many decades after they happened. We will look at historical and contemporary visions of the United States to try to uncover some of the deeper meanings.
Registration is required.
This series is presented by the Docent Speakers' Bureau of the Nova Southeastern University Art Museum Fort Lauderdale. The series is sponsored by the Friends of the Southwest Regional Library.
