Chiaroscuro Shell Art with Yani!
Explore light and shadow with seashell art
Saturday, June 27
11:00am - 12:15pm
Century Plaza/Leon Slatin Branch
Multipurpose RoomShell art
In honor of National Seashell Day, join instructor Yani for a coastal-inspired art experience using real shells. Children will learn about chiaroscuro, the use of light and shadow, while painting and arranging shells to create striking, dimensional artwork.
This workshop connects Florida’s beautiful shorelines with artistic techniques, encouraging kids to “unearth” stories hidden within natural treasures.
This program is intended for families. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to stay with their children during the program.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Century Plaza Library.
