The Storefront (1st Floor)"Echoes of the Islands" is an immersive exhibition exploring Caribbean identity as lived, carried experience shaped by memory, migration, and cultural preservation.
Through art photography and ambient soundscapes, Lisema "Lise" Sinord creates a multi-sensory environment where visuals and audio work together to evoke the rhythms of island life.
The work reflects themes of ancestry, resilience, and spiritual presence, positioning the gallery as a space of return -- where memory is reactivated and culture continues to live within us, beyond geography.
Artist's Biography
Lisema Sinord is a South Florida–based creative visionary blending visual storytelling, branding, and cultural preservation. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and raised in an artistic household, she holds a Master’s in Media Design from Full Sail University, combining design expertise with digital innovation.
As a multidisciplinary artist, graphic designer, photographer, and digital content coordinator, Lisema creates immersive brand experiences for municipalities, nonprofits, and Caribbean festivals. Her work has earned honors including the Haitian Trailblazer Award and a Broward Cultural Division grant. Through a culturally rooted lens, she continues to amplify diverse voices and build a lasting creative legacy.
