September 10 - Energizing Ecology
Come experience Energizing Ecology and learn how the very important local action of gardening helps global ecology and promotes healthy food webs for us all! You will learn through experimentation and simulations how we are all connected, so we are all affected and how your actions do make a difference for community and global resilience-Keep on planting!
September 12 - The Art of Kokedama
Kokedama, a Japanese inspired planting technique, transforms plants into sculptural moss wrapped forms that blur the line between nature and design. In this live demonstration, Edwin Sandoval will guide attendees through the process of creating a kokedama from start to finish while sharing insight into materials, plant selection, and care. The presentation will also explore how kokedama can be used in contemporary spaces as an alternative to traditional potted plants, offering a more organic and evolving form of living décor.

Learn how grafting techniques can improve mango production and discover practical tips for growing in South Florida.
February 11 - How to Clean Up, Separate and Repot Your Bromeliads!
Join us for a hands-on bromeliad care workshop with instructor Stephanie LaRusso as she demonstrates common horticultural practices including how to know when bromeliad pups are ready to be clipped, how to pollinate bromeliad flowers to make hybrids, how/when to re-pot bromeliads in a collection and how to select the right location for newly purchased plants. Soil mixes, fertilizers, and pesticide choices will also be discussed, as well as how to troubleshoot common problems bromeliad owners may have with their collections at home.
