Build & launch cars!
¡Listos para lanzar! In this high-energy LEGO STEM challenge, kids will build their own mini launchers using levers and rubber bands to send tiny race cars flying across the floor. Along the way, they’ll explore concepts like stored energy, motion, and how the length of a lever can affect speed and distance.
Children will make predictions, decorate their cars with colorful fiesta patterns, and test how far their creations can go using different setups. Inspired by Hispanic inventor Guillermo González Camarena, this bilingual session blends cultural pride with hands-on discovery.
Part of our Fiesta de Innovación series celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, this event is designed for ages 5–11 and their families. All materials provided.
Parents are encouraged to participate with their children.
