Herbalism & Tea Education 101
with Herbalist and Educator, Arielle Hayat
Tuesday, June 30
6:00pm - 7:30pm
Main Library
Bienes Museum Ceremonial RoomWe’ll explore the foundations of how to work with herbs in everyday life from harvesting and drying plants to making infusions, decoctions, tinctures, vinegars, tea blends, and more. RSVP Required.
Together we’ll learn how different preparations extract different medicinal properties, how to work with herbs safely and effectively, and how to create simple remedies that support a range of health goals including stress, sleep, digestion, immunity, and nervous system support. Each guest will leave with their own custom herbal tea blend and a deeper confidence in bringing plants into daily practice.
Instructor's bio:
Arielle Hayat is an herbalist, educator, and astrologer with over a decade of experience helping people reconnect to healing through plant medicine, ritual, and embodied self-care.
Arielle was trained at the Arbor Vitae School of Traditional Western Herbalism, where she completed 3 years of study and a full year of clinical practice. She deepened her training through a 2.5-year, 1000-hour apprenticeship at Flower Power Herbs and Roots in NYC, where she continued working for an additional eight years, rooted in the Wise Woman Tradition. For the past decade, she has supported clients through a private practice focused on digestion, stress, immunity, and long-term health challenges. She is currently a master’s candidate in Chinese Oriental Medicine, Herbs, and Acupuncture and is deeply deeply passionate about Gong Fu Cha and the art of Chinese Tea, honoring tea as both medicine and a pathway to presence, connection, and sensory awareness.
