Join us for a dramatic portrayal by William and Sue Wills of President John Adams and First Lady Abigail Adams.

The Presidents and Their First Ladies have presented the stories of the United States' first couples since 1991.

During this 250th birthday celebration year of the United States, William and Sue Wills are especially proud that their unique “Presidents and Their First Ladies, dramatically speaking” is the only theatrical creation offering dramatic portrayals of 36 First Couples covering over 250 years of American history.
 
          In their 49 years as working actors, the Wills have operated a theatre company in Ocean City, Maryland, and created their unique series of programs on American leaders. Amazingly, the Wills have appeared together on stage over 9,600 times…and still counting. They are not “impersonators”, but hope that their costumes, dialects, and demeanors will help recreate these historical characters.
 
 Mr. and Mrs. Wills have performed in 36 of our 50 states and have given over 30 performances at seven of the nation’s Presidential Museums.  They are a true working team with William researching and creating the scripts while Sue edits his work and creates the costumes, many of her own design
 
With their “Presidents and First Ladies” program, William and Sue hope that by presenting the personal side of our first couples, they will become more than just names read about in history books.
 
          As we celebrate the 250th birthday of the passage of the Declaration of Independence, we should recall: Jefferson wrote it, Washington fought for it, but it was John Adams most responsible for its passage. Today the Wills proudly present to us the story of our 2nd President and First Lady: John and Abigail Adams. Travel back in time and imagine you are among a group of citizens who have assembled at the Adams home for a very somber occasion.
