Ujima (Collective work and responsibility): To build and maintain our community together and make our brothers' and sisters' problems our problems and solve them together.
This free event features music, dance, drumming, dance workshops, crafts, storytelling, songs, giveaways, treats, an edutainment event by Simunye, and spoken word by Art Prevails. Featured author Queen Mother Olori Iya Orite Olasowo-Adefunmi will discuss her book, Seeds of Awakening: The Creation of Oyotunji African Kingdom 1970-1995.
Highlights of Kwanzaa Ujima 2024 include:
