Comprehending how and why the Constitution was created is not easy. The mythology that surrounds the founders and the realities of the convention in Philadelphia are important to understand the American Republic. The founders faced important questions about government, its responsibilities and its limitations, which we still struggle with today. To understand where we are today, it is important to revisit the past and see how constitutional foundations, myths and changes created todays expectations and disagreements.
