About the exhibition
Echoes of the Islands is an immersive exhibition exploring Caribbean identity as a lived, carried experience shaped by memory, migration, and cultural preservation. Through fine art photography and ambient soundscapes, Lisema “Lise” Sinord creates a multi-sensory environment where visuals and audio work together to evoke the rhythms of island life. The work reflects themes of ancestry, resilience, and spiritual presence, positioning the gallery as a space of return—where memory is reactivated and culture continues to live within us, beyond geography.
