This exhibition showcases artifacts and records from 1933-1942 documenting President FDR's New Deal Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) incentive. Curated by the Bienes Museum of the Modern Book.
From its fruition during the Great Depression to its demise during World War II, the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) provided food, shelter, and paychecks to approximately three million young men in the United States.
Upon joining, men received vocational training and employment at camps around the country. The projects undertaken in this voluntary work relief program contributed to the development of the National Park System.
