Haitian-born self-taught American artist, Sophia Lacroix, invites the community to celebrate Haitian culture through food and art.
“Celebrating Haitian Heritage on Canvas through Food with Granma Daille’s Cooking” is an art exhibit by Haitian-born
self-taught American artist and Hollywood resident, Sophia Lacroix, made possible through a grant from the Broward County Cultural Division, and support from the Broward County Library. Through this unique event, Sophia aims to celebrate Haitian culture through food and art during Haitian Heritage Month, in May of this year, with her hyper-realistic paintings about typically Haitian recipes and dishes. Sophia invites the community to celebrate her beloved Haitian culture by joining her at her exhibit’s opening reception, on Saturday, May 18th, 2024 at the Hollywood Branch Library.
