About the artist:
Shuchita Rao is an award-winning Indian vocalist and educator who has successfully taught music to more than a hundred students between the ages of 5 and 75. She holds a Masters degree in Ethnomusicology and has served as Adjunct Music faculty at Boston University & Florida Atlantic University in 2024. She has authored over 200 articles on Indian Art, Music and Culture for ethnic magazines such as Sruti, Desh-Videsh, Lokvani and Khabar and has published Dhrupad maalika book and a few CDs. She has given lecture-demonstrations at MIT, Harvard University, Wellesley College, Sharon Public library, Mass and University of Lisbon in Portugal among other prestigious community libraries and educational institutions.
