GSBC Monthly Program - Surprise! My GGF was the Milkman: A DNA Case Study
Ruth Campbell will discuss a DNA case study where she used DNA testing to uncover the mystery of her grandfather's parentage. She will share her experiences and insights on the impact of DNA testing on family history, and the emotional and legal implications of DNA discoveries, which can lead to unexpected inheritance disputes.
Featured Speaker

Ruth Campbell is a professional genealogist with over 40 years of experience, specializing in U.S., Canadian, and English records, as well as DNA research. She teaches the monthly community class Let’s Talk DNA in Fayetteville, Georgia, and has successfully solved multiple DNA cases reaching back to the 1800s.
Ruth holds the PLCGS credential from the National Institute for Genealogical Studies and a Family History Certificate from BYU–Idaho. She has volunteered extensively with FamilySearch, mentored researchers through Research Like a Pro, and continues to expand her expertise through conferences, webinars, and ongoing education.
As a membership benefit, we are pleased to inform you that this genealogical event will be recorded and made available exclusively to members of GSBC. Additionally, any handout will be uploaded to our website for members to access.
