The Partners In Racial Justice discussion series invites participants into a shared journey of discovery, reflection, and action.
Inspired by the exhibition “To Be Sold: Enslaved Labor and Slave Trading in the Antebellum South,” the series continues to explore the historical realities of slavery and their enduring impact. At the same time, it serves as a space where individuals from diverse backgrounds can come together to deepen understanding, build meaningful relationships, and contribute to positive change within their communities.
Through thoughtful conversation, shared learning, and collective reflection, participants examine the past, consider its implications for the present, and explore how each of us can play a role in shaping a more just and unified future.
In this next phase, we turn our attention more intentionally toward community-building and social action—especially within our own neighborhoods. Together, we ask not only “What have we learned?” but also “What can we do?”

This session invites reflection on a central question: What responsibility do we carry, individually and collectively, in light of what we now understand?

AMERICA AT 250: PROMISE, PARADOX, AND POSSIBILITY
As the United States approaches the 250th anniversary of its founding, communities across the nation are reflecting on the meaning of this milestone.
This session invites participants to explore the founding ideals of liberty and justice alongside the historical realities that have shaped the nation’s development. How do we reconcile the promise of equality with the lived experiences of those who were excluded from it? How have different communities contributed to the ongoing story of America?
Most importantly, participants will consider: What does it mean to actively participate in shaping the next chapter of the American story?
