Join us for this monthly event series where book enthusiasts gather to connect with authors. Each month features a discussion with a different author.
Authors will share the stories behind their works and their literary journey. Whether you're an avid reader, aspiring writer or simply love great stories, this program provides an inspiring and enriching experience!
*This month's author, who is also an 8th degree black belt, will also provide a free, interactive karate demonstration and self-defense tips in addition to discussing his book.*
Anthony Ferguson’s memoir My Life in the Art of Shorin Ryu Matsubayashi Ryu Karate talks about his martial arts training, including becoming a black belt, teaching students, competing in tournaments, being inducted into the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame and more. His love for martial arts began as a child in Miami watching kung fu movies then increased after learning self-defense as a teenager: he has since studied martial arts for over 45 years and loves to share his passion with others, especially during classes at his dojo. He has worked with a wide variety of students from youth to seniors.
