Feeling lucky? Join us as we tackle a topic that many people of all ages find difficult to understand and navigate: money and how to make it work for them. Presented by We Florida Financial
Experts from We Florida Financial will lead participants through an interactive presentation that will address commonly misunderstood and confusing money-related topics. Presenters will lead attendees through financial lessons with handouts, activities, and engaging discussions. Topics explored in this series include debt (March 3), credit cards (March 10), budgeting (March 24), and money management skills (March 31). Each session in this series can be attended independently of the others, but check out as many as possible to feel educated and empowered. There will not be a session on March 17. Financial wellness is within reach and can always be improved. So whether you may be a college student trying to save or an experienced saver with new goals, this program is for you.
This presentation explores the fundamentals of debt—what it is, why people use it, and how it can be a powerful financial tool as well as a potential risk. We will examine the positives and negatives of debt, discuss how to manage it responsibly, and highlight why avoiding excessive debt is critical to long-term financial health. You will also learn best practices for paying down and getting out of debt like prioritizing balances or building sustainable habits. Are you using debt to move forward or is it holding you back? What steps can you take today to regain control?
