Jamaican-Born Fine Artist Andy Ballentine’s works will be exhibited at the Lauderdale Lakes Library from June 1-30. Grand opening on June 1.
This exhibit is presented as part of Broward County Library's Caribbean American Heritage Month Celebrations.
Opening reception on June 1 will include a performance by steel pan drummer Stan Brown from 4 to 5 pm, artist Andy Ballentine's appearance at 5 pm, and refreshments courtesy of the Greater Caribbean American Cultural Coalition INC & Greater Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce INC.
Andy Ballentine has been recognized for his intuitive and explosive talent by the international art world – his work was exhibited at Art Basel in Switzerland in 2017 and New York Art Week in 2018. Over the past 20 years since his talent was discovered, his works have been exhibited, collected and hung in galleries, embassies and other places where fine art lives. Ballentine creates bold, expressive, multi-genre works that include abstracts, landscapes and still life’s.
The exhibit can be visited during the month of June 2022. The library's public service hours are: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10 am to 6 pm. Tuesday and Thursday, 12 pm to 8 pm.
