Join us for a Zoom conversation with award-winning pianist and composer Lewis Warren, Jr. and Barbara Muze, Executive Director of the Chopin Foundation.
Lewis Warren, Jr. is an award-winning pianist, arranger, composer, and improviser based in Dallas, Texas. His musical versatility and powerful ability to connect with audiences have been hallmarks of his career. Lewis recorded albums and performed in televised broadcasts since the age of 8 and recently won the 2023 MTNA Young Artists Piano Competition. He has also performed with several orchestras, including the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Session Symphony Orchestra. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the New England Conservatory of Music under Victor Rosenbaum and his master’s degree from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music under Awadagin Pratt. He is currently pursuing his performer’s diploma at Southern Methodist University’s Meadows School of the Arts under Carol Leone. The program will feature Chopin, and Warren’s own compositions.
