Join us for an engaging family workshop where participants will learn about West African Adinkra symbols and create their own symbols or crests reflecting their personal values, while connecting these symbols to African American culture and history.
This monthly program is perfect for families who love to learn together. We'll discuss gratitude's role in various cultures and highlight how African American communities have supported each other through mutual aid societies and community events. Plus, we'll explore cultural practices like Kwanzaa, emphasizing community and giving, and see how its principles can inspire our projects.
