Join us on a journey through Ancient Greek history, mythology music and dance.
The program offers a fun and interactive introduction to Greek culture, perfect for families and individuals of all ages. The event will begin with a live accordion performance as participants arrive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Afterward, attendees will learn the Greek alphabet and discover its origins as an ancient prayer. This will be followed by a storytelling session about the 12 Gods of Olympus, bringing to life key figures from Greek mythology. Next, participants will have the chance to learn and practice Kalamatianos, a traditional Greek circle dance that traces back to Ancient Greece. The event will end with a tasting of Greek desserts, including baklava and koulourakia (cookies) giving attendees a delicious taste of Greece. This combination of music, history, dance, and food will create a well-rounded cultural experience.
