Yoga as Playtime - There are a variety of ways that play helps children to learn whether in a school setting. Schools is a place filled with playful activities which encourage growth and development socially, educationally and emotionally. Incorporating yoga in with activities as a form of play can help children to increase: gross and fine motor skills, brain development, balance and coordination, strength and flexibility. Yoga activities also promote team work, friendships, caring and imaginative play.
Katie's Young Yogi themed class includes dance, play and a craft to take home.

Mission Statement - At Katie's Kids Yoga our mission is to provide a child based yoga and mindfulness practice that incorporates movement and SEL (social and emotional learning) that supports children of all ages and their needs. The goal is to provide strategies to children in unique ways to successfully manage emotions, build healthy social interactions, improve self esteem and confidence and have a better understanding of self. We believe the benefits of yoga, movement and mindfulness will help bring children together to create a community that is filled with awareness, kindness, inclusion, and empowerment. We incorporate arts and crafts, energizing music, relaxation techniques, dance, movement and more!
