Free monthly interactive Black History lessons for youth and families.
Join us for an engaging family workshop where participants will explore the importance of storytelling, read stories by diverse authors, and create their own stories, songs, or skits, celebrating African American culture and history.
This monthly program is perfect for families who love to learn together. We'll discuss gratitude's role in various cultures and highlight how African American communities have supported each other through mutual aid societies and community events. Plus, we'll explore cultural practices like Kwanzaa, emphasizing community and giving, and see how its principles can inspire our projects.
Sponsored by the Friends of the African American Research Library and Cultural and presented in partnership with Link up & Build Inc.
This is a wonderful opportunity for youth and families to connect, learn, and grow together. Registration is required.
