A charter-boat owner in the Caribbean agrees to a smuggling deal in an effort to help an attractive pickpocket get back to America.
Lauren Bacall made her screen debut and eventually married her leading man, Humphrey Bogart in this iconic film directed by Howard Hawks. Based on the novel by Ernest Hemingway, "To Have and Have Not" is a delightful adventure in the Caribbean with Tiki music from Hoagy Carmichael and a scene stealing performance from character actor Walter Brennan, who got stung stepping on a dead bee.
