The presentation will include information on warning signs and types of abuse, as well as some common myths and misconceptions about IPV.
With the recognition that an estimated “1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner” (National Coalition Against Domestic Violence), Women In Distress of Broward County is proud to facilitate this workshop that will provide an introduction into the dynamics of IPV. The presentation will include information on warning signs and types of abuse, as well as some common myths and misconceptions about IPV. We will review local resources available and, most importantly, what the community and each one of us can do to promote safety and work towards a violence-free future. We hope you’ll join us!
