Teens will receive insight into how to conceptualize, finance, market, present, and assess events as an entrepreneur from professionals in the Event Production industry.
The objective of the Event Production Workshop is to mentor teens who have an interest in producing and promoting events that not only attract their peers, but highlight their community's talents, businesses, and resources. In doing so, they'll not only learn to network and negotiate within their communities, but with the general public as well. They'll learn to manage the responsibility and power of bringing groups of people together. They will be introduced to professionals in the Event Production industry who will give them first-hand insight into how to conceptualize, finance, market, present, and assess events as an entrepreneur, as well as how to break into and succeed in the industry. In short, this workshop is for future community leaders, activists, influencers, business owners, and entrepreneurs.
There will be three repeating sessions held over the summer, as well as a Finale event. Each session will be held on Tuesdays/Fridays for two consecutive weeks. Teens must commit to attend one session as well as the finale event.
After attending one session, teens will come together to produce a Finale event to be held on: Friday August 2 from 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM.
