Author Jacquie Herz, born in London to immigrant parents who had escaped the Holocaust in Europe, cannot remember a time in her life, even as a young child, when writing was not a major part of it.
A portion of the books sales during this event will be donated to the Friends of the Galt Ocean Reading Center which is a nonprofit organization that helps fund library events and classes.
Jacquie Herz’s first novel, Circumference of Silence, was published in 2021. She recently released her second novel, Hannah Bloom: Dream Juggler in December of 2025. After retiring from her duties as co-founder and president of a manufacturing company in Stamford, Connecticut, Jacquie and her husband, Peter, now live near the ocean in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Florida.
A quote from the new novel Hannah Bloom: Dream Juggler, “As if the unhappy letters arriving daily from her daughters at sleep-away camp aren’t upsetting enough, Hannah Bloom, who dreams of becoming a poet, discovers she’s pregnant again, learns her mother’s contemplating a move back to Europe, and worse yet, faces a lawsuit that threatens to destroy the business she and her husband, Jake, built together".
