This is a social book club, and we read one book over the course of two months. This allows our members to read at a casual pace.
Odyssey Sci-Fi & Fantasy Book Club focuses on science fiction and fantasy written by women, people of color, and members of LGBTQIA+ communities. We occasionally read classic science fiction and fantasy to help contextualize the more contemporary narratives that we typically read. This book club is appropriate for people who are young adults and older. We meet online, on the first Monday of every month. For February, we are reading "The Ballad of Black Tom," by Victor LaValle. |
