Cherry blossoms have been linked for a long time with Buddhist ways of thinking. This is to do with living in the moment, mindfulness, and mortality. Is the perfect time to reflect on your life.
They are also connected to wabi-sabi philosophy and Shinto ideals.
Cherry blossoms typically bloom between the last week of March and the first week of April. The blooming period can last a couple of weeks or just over a week.
