Cherry blossoms have been linked for a long time with Buddhist ways of thinking - living in the moment, mindfulness, and mortality. It is the perfect time to reflect on your life.
They are also connected to wabi-sabi philosophy and Shinto ideals.
Cherry blossoms typically bloom between the last week of March and the first week of April. The blooming period can last a couple of weeks or just over a week.
