Dr Lisa Tomlinson is a Lecturer at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus in the Institute of Caribbean Studies. She teaches courses on Caribbean and African diaspora film, and doc narratives.
She is the author of the books entitled The African-Jamaican Aesthetic: Cultural Retention and Transformation Across Borders and Una Marson (Caribbean Biography Series). Dr Tomlinson is currently the Deputy Festival Director for the GATFEST Film Festival and Chief Adjudicator for the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission's Literary Arts and The FIWI Short Film Competition.
