"La Bodega Botanica" is an interactive puppet performance using traditional and papercut puppets made by interdisciplinary artist Jacoub Reyes.
In this fifteen-minute theater performance, our narrator takes the audience through a colorful and timely look at the history of Borikén, now known as Puerto Rico. The whimsical and beautiful re-telling of the Taino creation story, colonial history, and contemporary culture is played out within this production. After the performance, the audience is encouraged to ask questions and take a look at the behind-the-scenes process.
